WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The Downtown Lifestyle Tour gave visitors and long-time Wilmingtonians alike a chance to marvel at interior design and architectural beauty.

The tour featured 13 properties in Wilmington, selected for their attention to decoration or historical significance.

More than 100 guests paid the $15 to participate in the walkable tour.

Living spaces ranged from houses and lofts to apartments and condos.

Janet Lackey, one of the downtown tourists, said she was most looking forward to learning how size-challenged living spaces maximize utility.

"I think the different ways smaller areas can be turned into big areas because you can live in them and have the view,” said Lackey.

The event was organized by Wilmington Downtown, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to economic growth and development of downtown Wilmington.
