Mobile Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in broad daylight in west Mobile.

It happened in front of a home on the 4700 block of Wicker Way near the intersection of Airport and University Boulevards late Wednesday morning.

According to witnesses on scene, the home is being remodeled, and while contractors were working inside, a group of men pulled up to the home in a truck, got out, and opened fire at the house, leaving bullet holes in the windows.

Police said, "four subjects shot into the house."

Police later found multiple shell casings in front of the house.

Miraculously, no one inside the home was hurt.

One witness told FOX10 News he ducked under a car to avoid the bullets.

The witness said once the suspects took off, he followed them in his own car and called 911.

The witness said he saw the suspects take off on foot, leaving the truck they were driving behind as evidence for police.

Mobile Police confirmed detectives also responded to the Knollwood Apartments, "in reference to another individual following the subjects from Wicker to that location."

So far no arrests have been made, and the shooters remain at large.

If you know anything about this crime, do the right thing, and call Mobile Police immediately.
