JULY 14, 2005 -- People in Boiling Spring Lakes could soon see a new building in town.
U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced Thursday that the city has received $1.5 million in federal funds for a new city hall.
"A new city hall will benefit all the citizens of Boiling Spring Lakes. This is good news for the community, and I applaud all those who were involved in securing this application," says McIntyre.
The United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development approved the loan to build a new 1,000 square foot city hall. The new facility will house the municipal operations center and police department.
