Lt. Governor Supports State Lottery

JULY 13, 2005 -- North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Beverly Perdue is offering reassurance to supporters of a state lottery.

Perdue concedes the State House and Senate differ about the best approach to a state numbers game, but she predicts eventually the lawmakers will compromise and North Carolina will get a lottery.

Perdue was at Wrightsville Beach Tuesday morning to speak to the North Carolina Broadcasters Association.
