JULY 11, 2005 -- An abused horse in Pender County is starting to find his legs again.
The 6-year-old horse was brought into Burnett Veterinary Clinic not able to stand and barely able to eat.
Animal control officers found him without food and water. They won't identify the owners.
Now Sundance, although shaky and still grossly underweight, is able to walk around. Veterinary workers are optimistic that he will recover.
Sundance is one of at least ten horse neglect cases to surface in Pender County.
