WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

The Wired Wizards joined us on WECT News First at Four Wednesday to show off the team’s robot.

The group is a robotics team made up of Wilmington-area high school students who build and program robots.

The team competes around the state and around the globe.

The Wired Wizards give high school students the opportunity to hone their engineering skills.

Teams are given a time period in order to build a robot.

During 'build season,' the team spends every day working on the robot.
