Ernie Els, one of the most decorated players committed to play in the Wells Fargo Championship next month, is looking forward to his upcoming trip to North Carolina.
Eagle Point Golf Club will host the Wells Fargo Championship May 1-7.
Els discussed the Wells Fargo Championship during a practice round Tuesday for what may be his last Masters.
“I think it’s great,” Els said of Wilmington hosting the event. “I’m going to stay at a house on the beach, which is going to be great. I’m going to bring my family down so we’re going to have a great week in North Carolina. Can’t wait to get there.”
Els, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, has 19 victories on the PGA Tour, including four majors.
