JUNE 22, 2005 -- A former Wilmington DJ convicted of murder last year may have another chance to make his case in court.
The North Carolina Court of Appeals says Demond Antonio Wells should get a new trial because of an error in closing arguments.
Wells was convicted in February of 2004 of killing Roncin Sanders in the parking lot of the North Seventeen Shopping Center in Wilmington. Police say the two had been arguing over a music deal.
The Court of Appeals says Wells' lawyer should have gone last in closing arguments because he presented no evidence at trial.
