UNCW's Golden captures CAA honor

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

UNCW outfielder Casey Golden was named the Colonial Athletic Association's baseball player of the week on Monday after a successful weekend against VCU pitching.

Golden homered in all three games of the Seahawks' sweep. He went 7-for-14 in the series, scoring five runs and driving in seven. He is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak and has homered in the last four.

UNCW will host Maryland on Tuesday. First pitch was moved up to 4 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather.
