JUNE 14, 2005 -- An accident in New Hanover County underlines how just a few inches can make a big difference.
The North Carolina State Patrol said Amy Daniel, 25, was driving on Holly Shelter Road when her vehicle veered into a tree. She lost control after she went spinning around back onto the road.
One of the wheels on her truck got caught in the gap between the pavement and the grass.
She was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She is said to be shaken, but overall in good condition and is expected to recover.
