(WECT) -

Shred360 and WECT are teaming up to help protect you from identity theft by hosting a free paper shredding event.

The shred-a-thon, sponsored by IntraCoastal Realty, will take place Monday, March 13 at the Villages of Brunswick Forest, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Port City Community Church, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bring pre-approved credit card offers, old bills, out-of-date account statements and other documents that include personal information to the shred-a-thon.

No hazardous materials, metals, or plastics will accepted, but there is no need to remove binders, binder clips, paper clips, staples or rubber bands prior to shredding.

Attendees are limited to three boxes (copy paper box or smaller) or three bags (kitchen trash bag or smaller) per vehicle and are asked to stay inside their cars.

In Brunswick County, cars should enter through the main Brunswick Forest entrance and follow the signs to the trucks and continue behind Lowes Foods.

At PCC, cars will line up thru lot B and form 3 lines at the entrance to lot A.

There will people on hand at both locations to help direct traffic.
