Money for Crime-Fighting Promised to Local Counties

JUNE 7, 2005 -- Southeastern North Carolina is getting a big chunk of change. That announcement came Monday from Representative Mike McIntyre.

The federal money will help fight crime and violence in several counties. The total is nearly $1.2 million.

The money will go to law enforcement departments, domestic violence organizations and at-risk youth programs in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Bladen, Duplin, Robeson and Cumberland counties.
