Creative cocktails to serve at your holiday party

Serve a festive cocktail at your holiday party.

Derrick Cook from KGB in downtown Wilmington shared some recipes on WECT News First at Four to help make your Christmas Party a hit.

Bride of Christmas
2 oz Jim beam rye
1 lemon peel
1 sprig rosemary
1 oz macerated cranberries
2 dashes angostura bitters
1/2 oz maple syrup
1 oz KGB sour mix

Muddle cranberries, rosemary, bitters and lemon peel. Add Jim beam rye, maple syrup sour mix and ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a 10 oz cocktail glass filled with ice. Garnish with twist. 

Down the Chimney
2 kumquats
4 nubs fresh ginger
2 oz Effen vodka
1 dash tiki bitters
Ginger ale

Muddle kumquats, ginger and bitters. Add vodka and let sit one minute. Fill copper mug with ice, lime disk and mint. Add ice to vodka, shake and strain into mule mug while topping with ginger ale.
