Sheriff's Deputy Hurt in Car Accident

MAY 25, 2005 -- A New Hanover County sheriff's deputy is out of the hospital after being injured in a car crash.

The wreck happened Wednesday morning near the intersection of North College Road and Gordon Road.

Investigators say the driver of a Honda Prelude ran a red light and collided with Deputy Tommy Grady's unmarked patrol car.

Grady, along with three others, were taken to the hospital. Grady has been released. The driver of the Prelude has a broken leg.
