First at Four: UNCW hosts 24th Annual Intercultural Fesitval

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A celebration of cultures across the globe will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. 

The 24th Annual Intercultural Festival takes place in the middle of the school's International Education Week. 

UNCW's Director of International Student and Scholar Services, Jennifer Fernandez-Villa, joined First at Four to give an idea of what those attending the festival will see. 

The festival will take place on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m in the Burney Center. 

There will be performances, food, dance, music, and exhibits showcasing the rich cultural diversity of the community and beyond.

Other event such as panel discussions and lectures will be included in UNCW's International Education Week.

Films such as Life on the Line, a documentary looking at immigration through the eyes of a young girl growing up on the U.S/ Mexico boarder, and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, a New Zealand adventure-comedy film will be shown.
