UNCW Head Women's Basketball Coach Adell Harris has named Brittni Oliver as director of women's basketball operations.
Oliver, who is entering her fifth year with the Seahawks, previously served as the program's administrative assistant.
"I am pleased to announce Brittni Oliver as our new Director of Women's Basketball Operations," Harris said. "She understands our program's vision and has played a key role in managing the day-to-day operations as our office manager for the last four seasons.
"Brittni's playing experience will help her relate to our players both in their careers at UNCW and more importantly, as they transition to life after sport," Harris continued. "I am very excited to promote one of my former players in this profession."
A native of Kokomo, Ind., Oliver played basketball at Tusculum College for four seasons from 2007-11, including her final two years under Harris.
During Oliver's career at Tusculum, the Pioneers won the South Atlantic Conference regular season championship in 2007-08, 2008-09 and 2010-11. Tusculum captured back-to-back Food Lion SAC Tournament crowns in 2010 and 2011 and advanced to the NCAA Southeast Region championship and NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the first time in the program's history in 2009-10.
A 2011 graduate of Tusculum, she earned her Bachelor of Art's Degree in Sports Management.
Oliver completed her Master's of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in December, 2012, with a concentration in Sport Psychology. During that time, she served as a graduate assistant with the UT Dean of Students office.
