This weekend: Get your polka on at the Polish Festival

CASTLE HAYNE, NC (WECT) -

From pierogi to polka, all things Polish will be celebrated in Castle Hayne Saturday at the St. Stanislaus Church Polish Festival.

The Chardon Polka Band from Chardon, Ohio, will play music at the event. The band is joining us Friday for WECT News First at Four.

Each year, the Polish Festival attracts thousands of visitors.

You can try a host of Polish foods at the festival, including kielbasa, pierogi, golabki, placki ziemiaczane, kruschiki, kolachki, nut rolls, poppyseed rolls and strudel.

Front Street Brewery crafted a St. Stan's Baltic Porter just for the event.

The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

It is always held on the first Saturday in November on the church grounds at 4849 Castle Hayne Road.
