WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Crews are putting the finishing touches on a $48,000 facelift to the tennis courts at Robert Strange Park in Wilmington.

The park, which is located at 401 South Eighth Street, received a much needed resurfacing as well as the addition of six new pickleball courts to the northern three tennis courts.

Additional pickleball courts are proposed at Olsen Park in the city's 2016 Parks Bond, which will be on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Also proposed in the bond is a $1.83 million project to add a new gymnasium/multi-purpose room and replace floors and bleachers at the nearby MLK Center.
