BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

Two people are dead after an armed robbery of a home on Jacobs Loop Road in Bladen County Saturday night.

According to Bladen County Sheriff James McVicker, one or two suspects entered Donwia Wayne Griffith's home around 11 p.m. Saturday and demanded money. Griffith, 38, was shot and killed.

One of the suspects, Gregory Skinner, 33, was taken to the Columbus County hospital by private vehicle where he was pronounced dead.

Officials still are trying to verify if a second gunman was involved.

Two women and three juveniles were in the house at the time of the shooting.

Autopsies will be performed on Griffith and Skimmer in Raleigh this week.

The investigation is continuing.
