UNCW Press Release
CHARLESTON, South Carolina - Fueled by a career-high 22 kills from sophomore Maddy Kline and five Seahawks in double-digit digs, UNCW tripped Colonial Athletic Association co-leader College of Charleston, 3-2 (23-25, 25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 15-8), in a key conference volleyball match on Thursday at TD Arena.
The Seahawks halted a three-match losing skid with the road win and improved to 13-6 overall and 3-4 in the conference. CofC, meanwhile, dipped to 12-7 and 5-2.
"I'm so proud of our players and their efforts tonight," said UNCW Head Coach Amy Bambenek. "There was a heavy emphasis on the type of attitude and focus we wanted on our side of the net. Tonight we played a complete unit and we accomplished what we wanted to do."
