WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

TheatreNOW gets into the Halloween spirit with its October dinner theater offering.

The company is performing a unique work called Of Monsters and Men. It’s by local playwright Stephen M. Raeburn and based on several of Edgar Allan Poe’s works.

The show follows the murderers in two of Poe’s well-known works. Henry Porter is the killer in The Tell-Tale Heart, and Edwin Montressor is from The Cask of Amontillado.

As they attempt to escape from their crimes they’re introduced to another world of Poe’s creation, from his lesser known story The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether.

Of Monsters and Men

  • Oct. 14 - Nov. 12
  • Fridays & Saturdays
  • 7 p.m.
