MAY 11, 2005 -- Downtown Wilmington is thriving according to this year's downtown market analysis.
Wednesday, city and business leaders got a glimpse at the latest economic trends for downtown.
This year, the results are favorable. More offices and residential areas are occupied and there is a demand for more housing and a push for new construction.
Leaders also say other outside shopping areas, like Mayfaire Town Center, are not hurting downtown stores.
For the past 27 years, the group "Wilmington Downtown" has studied the economic outlook for the downtown business district.
