May 11, 2005 -- The White House and US Capitol were evacuated for a short time around noon. A small aircraft was flying in restricted airspace over Washington, DC. Military planes were heard flying over the city and veered the plane away. People could be seen running from both buildings. Reporters were told to seek a more secure location. People have since been allowed to return to the buildings. The President was not in the White House when it was evacuated.
