WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Before taking the stage at Cape Fear Community College's Wilson Center, The Babys stopped by WECT News First at Four.

It was the first live interview for the band in 30 years.

The band is known for songs including "Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think of You."

John BisahaIt is the new lead singer of the band.

"It's a dream come true for me," he said, when asked about joining The Babys. "I was a huge fan back in the day so to be able to be singing all these legendary songs along with these two gents and the rest of the people here is just a dream come true for me."

"It's a lot of fun," said the band's original lead guitarist, Walter Stocker. "We are having a lot of fun with it. It's 30 years on but we haven't missed a beat."

The Babys played Friday night in Wilmington with Jefferson Starship. For more information about the band, head to thebabysofficial.com
