You have shown this community time and again that when tragedy strikes, you are willing to help.  Already this week, groups have collected and transported goods to those affected by the flooding in Louisiana.

The flood damage there is pretty devastating with thousands displaced and many losing everything they owned.

Our parent company, Raycom Media, has some television stations in that area.  And we know those folks have been working around the clock to get out vital information to those living in that devastated region.

They could use some help.  The best thing in these situations is often money.  The American Red Cross is working with the victims there and they have set up a South Louisiana Flood Relief drive.  You can text “LAFLOODS” to 90999 and donate $10 to the effort.

We have a caring community and we like to help.  And you know those folks in Louisiana would do the same for us should we get into a similar situation in the future.

That’s my turn. Now it’s your turn. To help, I hope.  Please join me and text “LAFLOODS” to 90999 to make your contribution.  Thank you.
