Bellamy Mansion hosts 'Ask an Archaeologist'

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Have you ever found something buried in the dirt in your backyard and wondered if it was the remnants of an ancient civilization- or just a rock?

A panel of experts will be at the Bellamy Mansion on Saturday, Aug, 20 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. to take a look at your archaeological pieces.

The event is free to the public, but a donation of $10 is suggested to benefit the Bellamy Museum and Public Archaeology Corps.

The Bellamy Mansion teamed up with the Public Archaeology Corps along with a panel or experts that including Dr. Nora Reber and Dr. Scott Simmons from UNCW Archaeology.
