WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Rising sophomore forward Trey Grundy has been dismissed from the UNCW men’s basketball team for a violation of team rules, third-year Head Coach Kevin Keatts announced Monday.

Grundy, a 6-6, 210-pounder from Lexington, Ky., appeared in 17 games last season for the 25-8 Seahawks. He averaged 2.5 points, 1.2 rebounds in 7.2 minutes per game. He did not play in the final eight games of the season.
