Love is Bald started as a way to celebrate the life of their friend who died of cancer. Six years later, the organization is launching a new scholarship in Peyton Dergay’s name.
Love Is Bald is hosting its annual fashion show this Friday. The event is in its sixth year.
In past years, money raised went to local organizations that support cancer patients.
This year, some of the money will go to the scholarship fund.
More information about the scholarship will be announced at the Love is Bald fashion show, which takes place Aug. 5 at Bakery 105, located at 105 Orange street in Wilmington.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and show starts at 8. There will be raffle prizes and silent auctions.
