WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - With an excessive heat warning in effect Thursday, staying hydrated is more important than ever.
Nutritionist Sonia Kennedy shared tips on WECT News First at Four to keep you safe this summer.
Sonia emphasized that it makes it easier to stay hydrated if you have a plan to do so.
- Always carry a water bottle
- Download an app that helps you track your water intake
- Get a container that helps you measure your water intake (Sonia suggest the Hydr8 cup)
Don't like the taste of water? Sonia recommends trying infused water.
Her favorite: Cucumber Lime Refresher, which is made with one pitcher of water, one cucumber (thinly sliced) and juice of 4-5 limes.
