Feight and Foster named Louisville Slugger All-America

WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Sophomore catcher/designated hitter Nick Feight and senior righthander Ryan Foster were named Louisville Slugger All-America on Thursday as UNCW prepares for their opener on Friday against Duke at the NCAA Columbia Regional.

Feight became UNCW's first player to earn First-Team honors while Foster earned a spot on the third team.

Feight enters the regional as the nation's leader in Runs Batted In (90) and Total Bases (171) and is ranked third nationally with a school-record tying 21 home runs. He was named Colonial Athletic Association Player-of-the-Year and was a first-team All-CAA selection.

Foster, who is tied for the national lead with 12 wins, was the CAA Co-Pitcher-of-the-Year after posting a 12-1 record and fashioning a 2.41 earned run average.

The duo become the eighth and ninth Seahawks to earn All-America honors during UNCW's NCAA Division I era. Jordan Ramsey was a third-team selection last season by the ABCA.

UNCW opens its regional appearance on Friday with a 1 p.m. first-pitch against Duke.
