UNC Wilmington's Watson College of Education will offer a workshop series this month to help parents and grandparents through technological challenges they may be facing.
The Catch Up with Today's Technology series is intended to help adults with tech-savvy children encourage responsible use of technology. Workshops will include information on useful cell phone apps, social media safety, tips for password protection and applications that can assist families with homework.
“This program is important because many parents do not know how the technology in their hands can assist them in teaching their kids,” explained Jeff Ertzberger, technology director for Watson College.
The sessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on June 13, 20 and 27 at the Education Building on the UNCW campus.
The $100 fee for the entire series is tax deductible. Registration information can be found here.
Proceeds will support the Cathy Barlow Internship Scholarship Fund.
