RICHMOND, Va. (May 18, 2016) – The Colonial Athletic Association has announced the host sites for the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Championship for the next three years.

The 2017 CAA Baseball Championship will be held at Brooks Field on the campus of UNCW in Wilmington, N.C., while the 2018 and 2019 CAA Baseball Championships will be conducted at Veterans Memorial Park on the campus of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.

Brooks Field has served as the site of the CAA Baseball Championship on 12 previous occasions, more than any other venue in conference history. The tournament was conducted at Brooks Field in 1989, 1990 and 1993 before an eight-year run from 2004-11. Most recently, it hosted the event in 2014.

"UNCW is pleased once again to host the CAA's premier baseball event in 2017," said UNCW Athletics Director Jimmy Bass. "The Wilmington community is the perfect host for CAA championship play."

Veterans Memorial Park opened for the first time in 2010. The facility previously was the host site for the CAA Baseball Championship in 2012 and 2013.

"We are extremely excited to welcome the CAA Tournament to Veterans Memorial Park and Harrisonburg for the 2018 and 2019 seasons," said JMU Head Baseball Coach Marlin Ikenberry. "We have a community that is very passionate about baseball and we're looking forward to bringing this tournament to them and playing great baseball in front of our fans."

The 2016 CAA Baseball Championship, hosted by the College of Charleston, gets underway on Wednesday, May 25 at The Ballpark at Patriots Point in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. The six-team double-elimination tournament concludes on Saturday, May 28.
