(WAFF) -

5 Years Later Challenges and Changes Since April 27, 2011

It's been five years since tornadoes ripped through parts of the Tennessee Valley, leaving memories with many that will last forever. In our special, we'll take a look back at the challenges faced as well as the changes that have happened since that devastating day.

French prosecutors say Paris attacks suspect sent to France

The French prosecutor's office says a key suspect in the Paris attacks, Salah Abdeslam, has been transferred from Belgium to the French capital. The Paris prosecutor's office says he is to face investigative judges later Wednesday for eventual charges. The prosecutor's office will ask that he be jailed, a likely formality in the case of Abdeslam.

Scattered storms with temperatures into the low-to-mid 80s

Skies are mainly clear across the Valley, but clouds will increase from the west through the morning hours. Temperatures are mild once again with many starting the day in the lower 60s. We are cooler over northeastern AL with mid/upper 50s for parts of DeKalb and Jackson Counties.
