University of North Carolina Wilmington students showed off their hard work Monday night, during the Student Research Spring Showcase.
UNCW graduate and undergraduate students who have been working on research projects put together posters highlighting their projects.
About 150 posters were on display, showing off the work of around 200 students.
UNCW faculty said it is a great opportunity for students to practice presenting their projects and discuss them with fellow students and staff.
"It's important for the students to be able to articulate the kind of impact [of their projects], that it can be important to other people, it's important just to be able to talk about that. It's a good skill to develop,” said Kate Bruce, the Director of UNCW’s Honor College.
Bruce said the Spring Showcase has grown significantly over the years, when it first started about 10 years ago, there were only 40 posters on display.
