WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Nick Feight belted two home runs and starter Cory Gantz held Towson in check as UNCW erupted for 10 runs over the middle three innings on its way to an 11-4 win on Sunday at Brooks Field to complete a Colonial Athletic Association series sweep.

UNCW posted its second straight sweep in conference play to improve to 8-2 in the circuit and 27-9 overall. The Seahawks hold the nation's longest winning streak at 12 games while also setting a new program record with their 13th consecutive home win.

Towson, meanwhile, suffered its ninth straight loss to fall to 14-27 and 5-7.

Feight, who raised his season batting average to .397, homered in the second make it a 2-1 deficit and then added a two-run shot in the sixth for his 15th on the season. With those three RBI's, he now leads the nation with 68.

Casey Golden posted his fourth three-hit game of the season while Gavin Stupienski and Joe Bertone added two hits apiece. Bertone knocked in two runs with a pinch hit double in the fifth inning.

Gantz (3-0) was the beneficiary of the mid-game offensive explosion, picking up his third win of the season. The righthander allowed two runs in the first inning before tossing five no-hit, shutout innings. He finished with a walk and a pair of strikeouts.

No Tiger had a multiple-hit game, but Richie Palacios connected on his fourth homer of the season in the ninth inning.

Towson starter David Marriggi (1-4) took the loss, allowing seven runs in 4.2 innings.

Up next: The Seahawks visit North Carolina in the first of a home-and-home series on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

How it happened: The Seahawks took advantage of four Towson walks and added RBI doubles by Golden and Bertone to plate five runs and snap a 2-all deadlock.
Inside the box score: Gantz allowed three straight one-out hits in the first inning before setting down and no allowing a hit for the next 5.2 innings … Gantz did not allow a leadoff hitter to reach base (0-6) … Both teams landed its leadoff hitter on base just twice … Towson was just 1-for-10 with two outs … UNCW collected seven two-out hits, including two by Bertone … UNCW pitching limited Towson to one hit with RISP.

Notes: Steven Linkous saw his hitting streak halted at 17 games … With two walks, though, Linkous has now reached base safely in 23 straight games … Tiger pitchers combined for eight walks and five wild pitches … UNCW pitchers posted a 2.33 ERA on the weekend and held Towson to a .196 batting average … Feight finished the weekend with seven runs scored, three home runs and six RBI's … UNCW is now 18-1 when scoring 10+ runs and is 22-2 at home.
