WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Dram Tree Shakespeare has transformed a warehouse in downtown Wilmington into a unique performance venue for its latest production. The group is performing William Shakespeare's The Tempest.

The play takes place on a remote island inhabited by magical creatures and spirits, a sorcerer named Prospero and his daughter Miranda.

Prospero is the rightful Duke of Milan but has been usurped by his brother Antonio. He plots to restore his daughter to her rightful place and reveal Antonio's wicked nature.

Dram Tree's production includes puppetry, dance, music and special effects to help transport audiences to the mystical island.
