SOUTHPORT, North Carolina – Senior Meghan Theiss and sophomore Kayla Thompson each carded a 7-over par score of 79 as UNCW finished play at the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship with a fourth-place effort at St. James Plantation on Sunday afternoon.

The Seahawks, who held the lead after the opening round on Friday, posted a final round score of 318 to finish with a 940 team score. Delaware, which took the lead in the second round, compiled a 306 team score to earn the team championship while College of Charleston finished eight strokes back in second place.

Theiss finished the three-round tournament in a tie for sixth place after posting a 233 score while Thompson earned a share of 17th place following a three-round score of 241.

Senior Annette Lyche turned in an eighth-place finish after shooting an 8-over par 80 in the final round while freshman Ellinoora Moisio ended the tournament tied for ninth place with a 236 score, including an 8-over par 80 in the final round.
