CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) -

Wake N Bake Donuts in Carolina Beach has designed a special doughnut in honor of Snoop Dogg performing as part of this year’s Azalea Festival.

Snoop Dogg responded to the doughnut created just for him through Twitter Thursday night:

The doughnut shop posted a photo on their Facebook page of Snoop with an apparent blunt-shaped doughnut. According to Wake N Bake’s owner, Danny Tangredi, these donuts are not available to the public.

Tangredi said one of their regulars works the venue for the Azalea Festival, and was sent last year to pick up donuts for some of the musical acts. Tangredi added this year is no different, but the store wanted to do something special.

Snoop is slated to perform with Doug E. Fresh Friday night at the Belk Main Stage. Showtime is at 7 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m. Venue is non-smoking.

The rapper, known for hit singles such as Gin & Juice, Drop It Like It’s Hot, and Smoke the Weed, launched his own marijuana line, Leafs By Snoop, in late 2015.

Snoop’s Twitter account, which has over 13 million followers, has numerous references to marijuana, some as recently as Wednesday evening.

The store is also making banjo-shaped donuts for the Avett Brothers, who are performing Thursday night.
