Seargent Joey Bozik walks for first time

MARCH 29, 2005 -- The wilmington soldier seriously injured in a Humvee bombing outside Baghdad, is now walking on his prosthetic legs for the first time.

Bozik's mother visited him over the Easter holiday at a hospital in Washington DC.   He was given a walker and took his first steps down the hall.  Bozik is on his new feet.

Bozik lost both legs and an arm while serving in Iraq. He is stationed with the 118th Military Police Company based at Fort Bragg.

After the accident, Bozik was awarded the Purple Heart.
