WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

UNCW men's basketball player C.J. Bryce has been named the CAA rookie of the week.

Bryce averaged 16.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in the Seahawks' two victories last week. The guard, who played at North Mecklenburg in Charlotte, scored 16 points in a 79-70 victory over Delaware and 17 in a 79-71 win over Drexel.

Bryce leads all CAA freshman in scoring with 11.1 points per game.
