UNCW guard Chris Flemmings has been named the Colonial Athletic Association's co-player of the week after the junior helped the Seahawks to a pair of victories last week.
Flemmings, who shared the honor with Hofstra's Rokas Gustys, averaged 23.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as the Seahawks improved to 12-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play. He shot 57.6 percent from the field and went 8-of-17 from 3-point range.
"I'm really excited for Chris," UNCW coach Kevin Keatts said. "He's been our most consistent player thus far. He had a tremendous week for us in CAA play."
Flemmings leads the Seahawks in scoring (15.6 per game), rebounds (5.6 per game) and free throws (57), and is tied for the team lead in steals (26).
