WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -
How would you like to swap that gently used handbag in your closet for a gently used name brand one? You'll have a chance to do just that at Lump to Laughter's seventh annual Sip, Swap, and Shop Gala Saturday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at The Terraces on Sir Tyler.
The annual event is put on to raise money to help local women undergoing breast cancer treatment and to offer support for those who have completed their treatments.
Lump to Laughter is a Christian ministry. It was created by Renee Ballard and Connie Hill, both breast cancer survivors. Seven years ago, they came up with the idea of holding an event that gives local women a chance to swap pocketbooks, clothes, shoes, and even furniture as a way to raise money.
Saturday's gala will also feature a live auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Tickets are $50. For more information on how to attend, click here.
