Commissioner Blanks not seeking re-election in Bladen Co.

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

One long-term Bladen County commissioner will not be seeking re-election after their term ends. 

Delilah Blanks will not seek a seventh term with the Bladen Commissioners. Blanks was first elected in 1988 and has been on the board since. 

Blanks said she thinks it is the right time to retire and give someone else a chance to serve the county. Blanks has been a big supporter of rural communities in Bladen County.

Blanks' term will end December 2016.
