8:00 a.m. Triathlon. Participants tackle the competition pool at UNC-Wilmington’s Trask Coliseum, then hop on their bicycles for two laps around the campus and the adjoining residential streets.  The last segment requires the participants to run a course throughout the UNC-Wilmington campus, ending at the outdoor track.

10:00 a.m. Azalea Pride. This event spans several areas throughout Wilmington, North Carolina and is an effort that involves many groups and volunteer organizations. The volunteers scour the City of Wilmington and surrounding areas the weekend prior to the Festival.  We are all proud of our community, and especially proud of the individuals and organizations who help to make this "spring cleaning" such a success.
