UNCW's Ritchie earns Scholar Athlete-of-the-Year award

WILMINGTON (UNCW) - UNCW's Alyssa Ritchie has earned the CAA Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete-of-the-Year award the University announced on Monday.

Ritchie earned a 3.971 grade point average while going undefeated in league play during the 2015 season. As a senior she wrapped up her career as the program leader in doubles play and tied for third all-time in singles.

Ritchie graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in May. 

Earlier this year Ritchie was the recipient of the UNCW athletic department's Chancellor's Cup Award which is given to the top female student athlete.
