(WECT) - A local standout baseball player has officially signed with a Major League Baseball organization.
Eric Jenkins received a $2 million signing bonus on Monday.
The West Columbus High School outfielder was picked in the second round of the 2015 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers.
As a senior Jenkins batted .323 with 35 runs and 25 RBI. He was a perfect 27-for-24 in stolen base attempts.
