The current town manager of Topsail Beach will soon become the next town manager of Oak Island.
Tim Holloman has been working in his current role in Pender county since June of 2010.
Holloman, who was named Outstanding Local Government Manager of the Year in 2012 by the Cape Fear council of Governments, takes over for Steve Foster who announced he would retire at the end of March.
During his time with Topsail Beach, Holloman saw completion of a $10 million beach nourishment project and completed a $3.5 million water infrastructure project.
“It has been my distinct pleasure to serve the community of Topsail Beach for the past four and a half years. I am deeply grateful for the support I have received from many Town Officials, community members and staff," Holloman said in a press release. "I will continue to cherish the friendships I have made during my tenure here."
Holloman's first day of work at Oak Island will be April 6.
