WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

A welcomed Bermuda high pressure system will bring seasonable warmth back to the Cape Fear Region to start the new week. Daily highs will mainly be in the 70s and record highs will likely be challenged again by midweek...

SUNDAY NIGHT DETAILS:  Expect cool nighttime temperatures mainly in the upper 40s and lower 50s amid light east breezes. A light shower, patchy fog or drizzle is possible under variably cloudy skies. 

PRESIDENT'S DAY MONDAY: Daytime temperatures will climb to the 60s and 70s with light south breezes. A few passing showers are likely, otherwise expect mostly to partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will mainly be in the 50s.  

EXTENDED FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS:  For much of the week ahead, expect temperatures to soar into the middle and upper 70s once again. A patch of fog or light shower may drift in, but most of this stretch will feature variably or partly cloudy and dry skies. Nighttime lows will be in the 50s and 60s.
