WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officials with the North Carolina Department of Transportation have announced that one of the eastbound lanes on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will be closed beginning Thursday night.
According to officials, the closure is necessary to replace and upgrade a crash attenuator mounted on the deck of the bridge.
The closure is expected to beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday and last until 5 a.m. Friday.
Crews will use directional signs and barrels to help guide motorists in the work zone. Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling in the area and to expect delays.
