Happy New Year! Most people look with anticipation to a new year and I generally like to indulge in a little wishful thinking. Maybe you do too. Here are some of my wishes for 2015.
My wish for UNCW is that the search committee finds a chancellor who can bring harmony and a focus on mission back to that institution.
I wish for a minimum of traffic incidents and delays for the Brunswick to Wilmington travelers. That one is a little selfish on my part.
I'm wishing other companies will see in Wilmington what Vertex did and continue to bring much needed jobs to our community.
I'm wishful that our elected leaders can come up with some sort of solution that will ensure the long term success of our local film industry.
A big wish I have is that our citizens and law enforcement officers can work together to help solve more crimes in our neighborhoods.
I'm also wishing our local boards will follow through with their promises of reforming their practices on spending on meals and travel.
And for all of us, I wish for a Hurricane season much like we had this past year. It doesn't get much better than that.
Happy New Year!
